The sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus) is a species of annual or biannual plant of the family Fabaceae, native of the southeast of Italy and of Sicily. Also called «pea flower ", " musky pea " or " gesse nice-smelling ". Pleasantly fragranced, its beautiful flowers can be divided in a wide range of pastel colors, from red to pink, blue to purple with all intermediaries. Its flowers like very well in mud, furthermore, the more you will cut of flowers and the more the bloom will be plentiful. The sweet peas are lovers of light, but varieties with red or purple flowers can fade when subjected to sunlight too hot.
